College Football Pick'em 2009

If you don't know what College Football Pick'em is, it is essentially a 'pick the winner' type format each week for college football games. It is free and a nice simple alternative to standard fantasy football. it doesn't take very long each week, so if you're busy, don't worry this won't eat up all your free time.

The first weekend is for picks is the weekend of September 5th, so if you are interested in joining get to it! the scoring system is set up so that your two lowest weekly scores are not counted towards your overall total. This means that if you don't have any time to join before this weekend, don't worry, missing one week won't kill you and you'll still be in the competition.

It's likely that you'll know at least one other person who is in the group already (besides me of course), but I'll stop trying to convince you. Hopefully you'll do it as it has been a lot of fun the previous years I've done this. If you have any questions or are not sure how to join, just shoot me an email and i can help you out or give a better explanation than in this email.

doh...didn't catch this until all the games were in today sad times

yeah i meant to post it earlier in the week, but forgot...

it's ok though because your two lowest weeks get dropped and this week had a surprisingly low amount of games (only 17) for the first week.

yeah, but still at a disadvantage because I have to drop this week which means I can't drop a low scoring week later

shhhh, that's the part i try to get late joiners to overlook!

Once again, welcome back! Quick question: I'm getting the notifications for College Pick'Em, but how do I access the group site? I remember in the past that a link was provided me so that I could just click on it and then log in and then make my picks, but my notification emails don't seem to have that link anymore. Like, now it just says, "if you haven't made picks yet this week, you must enter them [etc. etc.]... click here for more info on the teams playing this weekend [etc. etc.]"

^^ that link will get you to the group page. Click on your pickset name and it will take you directly to the screen on which you can enter your picks. Is that what you needed?


Italy was awesome. I'll probably post more on it (including pics when we get them uploaded) on the other thread though. Also, I'll email you my address so it's not sitting on the forums for bots and the world to see.

Hey man, I'm pretty happy with yesterday. If anything, my roommates are talking smack at me now. Let them. We all know who came out better yesterday, so they can have their fun.

wait, WE were talking smack at YOU? how does that make any sense...

Alex Wang and I were talking during the game, he was all worried when you guys were up by two touchdowns, that if he went to take a shower and took off his MSU shirt, y'all'd lose. pwnage double apostrophe right there. anyway, I tried to reassure him that I didn't think the MSU team would let that happen. Then in the dying minutes, we took it to overtime, and Alex was so mad at me, haha. I kept on telling him to have faith in your team, to which his response was, "dude, it's MSU." I guess his fears were not unfounded.

OMG, i just jumped from 11th, to like 5th after this week! w00t!

yeah... i got my first 5 games right for 100 points. I only got 4 of the remaining 17 right for 28 points... hawt.
