| yeah i wish... actually i'm in charleston, il right now. i'll be back in the Chi for the game tomorrow though. I suppose if people aren't committed to anything on Monday, you're welcome to come to my apartment... but i'm guessing that most people either have work or classes tomorrow.
my prediction: New England 37, New York 24 (though i'd much rather see the giants win, i just don't think it will happen)

| Maybe somebody from my fellowship group will "store" the church projector at their place this weekend.... heh heh heh... Yeah as always, I'm an underdog guy. But like you guys I just don't see how the Giants can pull it off. I'm just hoping it'll be a good show! I'll say Pats 35, Giants 21. | |

| I really didn't even know who was playing until i read this thread..... lol. I'm working the bar tonight, so i'll unfortunately be at applebees. Since it is superbowl sunday, the bar will either be ridiculously hit, or ridiculously boring...... i don't see anything inbetween. | |

| last year i worked at the OG for the AFC championship game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots. I think we had about 10 people come in all night. Granted this is a bit different because it was in Indiana... but even so I'm guessing that you guys will be pretty dead. A sports bar on the other hand will probably be packed... just my guess though. | |

| Hooray! Yeah, people to talk to at work positions like these are always fun, since if the conversation is interesting you can actively participate, and if the conversation is boring then you can tune out and just pretend you're participating. xD | |

| potentially anyway, if they can keep it close they should have a shot. and they have been outplaying the pats for the most part. if not for that stupid penalty, they'd be up 3-0 or tied at 3-3 at half.

| Lol, I was rooting for the underdog (of course) but really didn't expect them to pull it out. Especially when their defense collapsed on that last drive. Then Eli just came out of nowhere with some truly incredible plays/luck and Brady got greedy and threw the game away. I mean, seriously, on that last drive he had 35 seconds (or so) but he kept going for the deep bomb. A few quick outs 15-20 yard gains are well within his ability, and the Giants defense was frickin exhausted, they wouldn't have stopped it. That would set up a field goal at least, then they probably could have won it in overtime, but Brady had to go for the 75 yard bomb, all or nothing and got what he deserved for it ;P I think there were a bunch of really bad calls on the part of the patriots (that thrown away field goal early on...I mean, wtf, you don't go for it in the superbowl on 4th and long ) But a great last 5 minutes none the less, though the rest of the game was pretty uneventful (lot of great stops, sacks and whatnot, but nothing really exciting to watch). SO what were your favorite commercials? I have to say the dog training the horse rocky style and the carrier pigeons were my 2 favs, the cheese party, dancing lizards, and screaming squirl were pretty good, and the flying/firebreathing were also entertaining. | |

| i thought this was one of the better superbowls i have seen. the 2001 Rams vs. Titans was the best (or at least very high) with the Tennessee player stretching for the goal line as time expired (fyi, he didn't make it and they lost). commercials (click next to see more) I enjoyed these:Firebreathing (bud light) Giant Pidgeons (fed ex) Glondor and The Witch Doctor (cars.com) Talking Stain **Doritos Mouse Attack (this was my favorite) Parade Float Battle (coke... def. a fun commercial) Victoria's Secret (need I say more?) and hated (or at least disliked) these:Sales Genie 1 & 2 UnderArmor GoDaddy.com Clydesdale team (bud light, rocky theme) Language of Love (bud light w/ Carlos Mencia... YOU'RE NOT FUNNY!) Dunkin Donuts (if america just ran more... we wouldn't be so fat from your crappy donuts) Sunsilk (news flash: hair doesn't talk... and way to pick crappy songs to represent those people) Amp Energy Drink (why did this have to air right after the VS commercial? why...) the jury is still out on:Napoleon (Garmin GPS) Thriller Lizards (SoBe Water, love the song... commercial was only meh for me though) Planter's Nuts Pepsistuff (JT getting repeatedly hit in the nuts was funny) The Wheel (bud light, mostly meh... but 'Bottle opener suck' was good) Talking Baby 1 & 2 (E*Trade... talking baby - no. throwing up and creepy clowns - yes) Movies:Wanted ------------> maybe, need more info Semi-Pro -----------> maybe on video Prince Caspian ---> yes, but looking forward to Voyage of the Dawn Treader more Iron Man ----------> Hell the F yes! Wall ------------> this preview and other previews lead to YES! Zohan --------------> um... anybody else get a feeling you'll have seen everything funny by the time this comes out?
so yeah, overall i thought commercials were down this year. there were some that were good, but no real gems if you ask me. that's why there's always next year! GO LIONS!

haha, that is funny on so many levels (my favorite is, of course, the fact that both teams are NFC teams and could never play in the superbowl)
