| Below is the email I sent out regarding the Tourney Pick'em (2009). If you didn't receive it one of the following happened: 1) I don't have your email 2) I don't have your current email 3) I don't have email4) Somehow I managed to not click your name when I was going through the hundreds of addresses in my contact list Regardless, this is open to anyone and is free. It won't take nearly as much time or effort as the College Football Pick'em or even the Bowl Pick'em if you participated in either. If you have any questions let me know. Otherwise this thread is now open to brag about how well your team is doing - or how well your bracket is doing - or how well your face is doing after I destroy it with my bracket!! RAWR! - Code:

March Madness is upon us (and has been for the last two weeks) and that means it's time to fill out your brackets. All the sign-up information is below. If you have never done this before it is fun - but more importantly (for some) it takes almost no time or effort if you don't want it to. The teams have already been selected so you can put in your picks immediately upon receiving this email. Once you have submitted your picks, you're done and all you can do is sit back and hope to have bragging rights. There is no fee for doing this (nor is there a prize aside from bragging rights and a nifty trophy for your Yahoo! Sports profile). | muah! 9 people caved last minute and joined. there were only 18 (which is still a solid number) until I just checked and now there are 27. yay!
on a related note - stupid Memphis. why did that one guy (Roburt Sallie i think) have to go nuts? it would've been great to see them go down to Cal State Northridge... ah well. | |

| lol ... I have no idea who you are talking about. I think it shows, I'm 9 for 16 right now, slightly above 50%. Though picking the number 1 seeds to win opening round is practically automatic.
I did not know when exactly was the deadline. I just happened to do it thursday night my time ... so that would be thursday morning in the USA. Hmm .. I guess that qualifies me as one of those last minute guys. | |

As you can see, with the exception of Jerry, everyone still actually has a shot. Typically the winner will have somewhere between 110 and 140 points. Obviously is someone above you has the same remaining bracket you can't win... but you can check using the 'Scenario Generator' which is fun to play around with (link towards the top of the group page). | |

 Sweet. March really is a time of madness. One moment feeling on top of the world, next at the bottom. Or vice versa. It's so nice to know that no matter what happens I won't be last.  Actually, my bracket is full of red. I've just been lucky to have three of the final four teams correct with my championship game teams still alive. I'm the only person in the top 10 with less than 43 out of 60 picks correct. I have 37 picks (out of 60) correct. I noticed that if Villanova and Connecticut wins the semi-final game the bracket scores don't seem to change after that. So I guess no one picked Villanova or Connecticut to win. If both underdogs (by seed) win, then I'll be golden. If both number 1 seeds win, then I'll fall to 14 or 15. Wow ... what a range of possibilities still. Was Jerry drunk when picking his bracket or did he use the random selection generator thingy? Or was he going for the one in a billion zillion longshot? | |

| well i had state going to the final 4 at least..... i don't have blind love for any team, as i only had michigan winning 1 game (they ahd to prove that they deserved to at least be in the tourney ya know?) but apart from that, i voted based on how i thought teams would actually do. I had msu going to the final 4, but not the final game. UNC all the way ^.^ | |

| heh, I don't generally pay any attention to basketball so I couldn't have said who would do well or not. I generally picked the better ranked team with an upset every few because that's how it always works. I went to MSU so I put them going all the way. I knew they had a decent team this year, but I didn't actually expect them to win, but I gotta support em on the off chance right? | |

All i know about Basketball, is that Michigan had a really "good" season comparatively. apart from that, i went based on gut instinct and ranking alone. Sadly, I didn't have Villanova make it to the final four, because i always do, and they always fail me. so the one year i don't pick them to make it, they do. [!]. I always pick them because i think their name is sweet. I always like to see them and Gonzaga go far based on name of school. Sad eh? | |
