His face scrunched up a bit from thinking, Squin responds "Hmm, maybe sneaking in might be a good idea. Maybe those who are good at it can go as their own group or individually so that the rest of us noisy people don't blow their covers. What is Rasa and Skythar's preference? Individually, the two of you, all of us, none of us, or whatever else you can think of?"

"I go sssssseee what happen to little onnneeeee, come back with more informatttttionnnn" says Skythar with a little reluctance in his voice. Normally in his current health, he would oppose such action, but staying here like sitting ducks does not suit him either. With the clock ticking, he takes off quietly over the hills towards the lighthouse.

"Dang" Squin mutters to himself. Despite seeing Skythar sneak off and following his progress, he's not sure that he can pinpoint where Skythar is at the moment. Turning towards Krytox, "I'm not sure what the elf is thinking. Maybe we can drift forward a little bit, but considering our size and abilities I don't know how far we can go before we are spotted." Carefully Squin pulls out his bow and crawls forward, very ungracefully. After a bit of effort he looks back and realizes he's only covered about 10 feet. Seeing Krytox watching his efforts with a hint of an amused grin, Squin shrugs and waits to see what actions Krytox and Rasa.

"Good," Krytox responds to Skythar. He looks over to Rasa to see if he is going as well. When there is no apparent movement to join the smaller lizardman, Krytox turns back. "Looks like you go by..." he trails off, realizing that the Poisondusk is no longer there. His eys flick back and forth looking for any trace, but when he doesn't find any he gives a slight shrug as if to say Oh well....

"Not know what elf will do... he just stand and stare. Maybe we start going... try sneaky."

Krytox follows Squin's lead and begins creeping along the ridge.

Seeing Krytox catch up so fast, Squin realizes his "green" mistake and secures his bow again. Moving off again he finds it easier than before, still not that easy though.

The companions slink into the grove ahead of them, making their way through. The sunlight can't quite reach fully past the treeline, but it is still stifling hot and stagnant. As they near the opposite edge, however, a refreshing breeze occasionally interrupts the heat. Peering out through the underbrush, not appearing the be noticed, the group sees the lighthouse tower up before them, some sixty feet into the air, across flat, hard ground about fifty yards away. About one hundred yards to the left of the lighthouse is the wooden structure with the fire burning atop it, and the humanoid shapes there appear to be hustling and bustling, pointing back at the lighthouse. No doubt the halfling has made his presence known.

Just as the pirates are climbing down their makeshift structure, they begin yelling and shouting and pointing in other directions. The group glances along the ground - several local lizardfolk are blitzing the wooden structure! Seeing their attention diverted from the lighthouse, the group runs up to the door, but are dismayed to find that it is stuck, barred somehow from the inside. Looking around at the noise beginning to escalate some hundred yards away in the direction of the pirates' structure, the group knows they have but scant moments before they are noticed.

"So much for taking a look and staying out of trouble" mumbles Squin as he frantically tries to open the door. "What got into us? this heat I tell ya .... " he trails off. Hearing the sounds from the pirates' structure escalate and fearing the inevitability of being discovered if they stay there, Squin longs to get out of way and hide. Hide ... out of sight ... something between them and the pirates'. "Uh, how about we go around the lighthouse looking for another door or window. Let's circle away from those pirates and put the lighthouse between them and us." Getting nervous, the centaur starts trotting round the lighthouse keeping an eye out for trouble and an eye out for a way in while listening for any signs of trouble.

The centaur bounds around the lighthouse, but by the time he reaches his companions at the door again, the disappointment - and mounting tension - has grown: he's found no other way in. The windows interspersed along the side of the building are too narrow to squeeze in through.

Across the field, the pirates and lizardfolk are shifting around, causing a ruckus full of clanging and bashing, and loud yells, hisses, and screeches. Some of them, however, began heading over toward the lighthouse, their pirate eyes gleaming hungrily even in broad daylight.

While Squin is busy running around the base looking for another entrance, Krytox tries his luck banging on the door. The Swamplord had told him that the they were unsure what has happened to the family, but also that the lighthouse was guarded by magic. Perhaps if the group could make whomever was inside the tower see that they were allies rather than enemies, they could gain entry. It was a tall order, seeing as each of their appearances was far from ordinary. As he thought about what the female Swamplord had said, it dawned on him also what she did. The Underlost began banging on the door.

"We ally! We ally!" he bellowed, knowing that the pirates had spotted them and stealth was no longer their ace-in-the-hole. As he yelled, he pointed at the symbol that had been painted on his chest, hoping that there would be some response from within.

He looked around nervously. Squin would be back soon from his quick excursion around the base, but more importantly the pirates seemed to be making their way towards the group. The battles in the swamp had left them battered, broken, and in no shape for another fight. If they didn't find a way in fast, they would need to make a run for it or risk their lives against better rested and better equipped foes.

Despite Krytox's hisses, there is no response from the lighthouse. Taking matters into their own hands, the group bashes their way in. The groaning wood on the other side eventually gives way, allowing them access inside. They see that a table, now splintered, was barring the now damaged but still usable door. They close it quickly, and the interior of the lighthouse, visible through the light pouring in by slitted windows around the walls, envelops them. This room appears to be an entryway - on the opposite wall are hooks for cloaks, and boots are lined up underneath them. If there were any cloaks here before hanging on the hooks, they are gone now.

On the ground near the door are a few small oil lamps.

Moving the oil lamps out of the way, Squin frantically struggles to rebrace the door with whatever is left in the room. He shoves the splintered pieces of the table back towards the door and continues to look around the room. Mind racing as his face starts to scrunch a bit obviously trying to think hard, he attempts to take stock of the situation. The oil with all the wood around might make an interesting fire surprise for the next group of foes breaking in, but it would likely be a one use attempt. Hmm ... think think ... what else do we have here to defend the door with?

Chapter 2: A Shining Pillar of Deception - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chapter 2: A Shining Pillar of Deception   Chapter 2: A Shining Pillar of Deception - Page 4 EmptyTue Apr 21, 2009 10:42 am

The door creaks and finally gives way to their pounding. Luckily for them it wasn't too strong to keep them out. Unfortunately, that means it probably won't hold against any other intruders either. The door manages to hold up well enough to still be usable, but the barricade behind it is mostly trashed. As the group hustles into the room, Krytox looks around, trying to find anything to reinforce the door once more. The drab interior doesn't provide many options, but he quickly gets to work piling the splintered wood in location. A sensation in the back of his mind keeps nagging him, but he can't place what it could be.

As the door defense builds, the lizardman finally realizes what was bothering him - Alterith was still missing in action. Is he captured? Dead? We can't leave him to the pirates... but none of us are in any shape to fight. Well aside from the elf, but he looks as useful as using a spoon to fight a dragon... It seems, though, as if they had to choose between leaving an opening for the halfling, or saving themselves. Even as he questions the barricade, he continues to build - making his decision through having no change in his actions. As it is, it is unlikely they will be able to hold the lighthouse without help if all the pirates should join int the assault.

When their defenses had been constructed as best as possible under the current circumstances, Krytox' curiosity gets the best of him. He begins to peer deeper into the lighthouse, attempting to discern if anyone else is here. Certainly if the door was still reinforced, someone must be here unless they climbed down the sheer face of the lighthouse. He calls out as he goes, announcing his presence in hopes that he will not be assaulted by anyone who remained in the structure.

Chapter 2: A Shining Pillar of Deception - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: #2-22   Chapter 2: A Shining Pillar of Deception - Page 4 EmptyWed Apr 29, 2009 11:23 pm

Exploring deeper into the lighthouse, the group goes counterclockwise from the circular entrance chamber into the next room. It is a pantry, filled with row upon row of shelves that once held food stores. It is obvious that the pirates looted most of these supplies. Next room around appears to be the kitchen area, with more stonework in this room than wood. A stone oven dominates one wall of this room. Nearby stands a sink, and cupboards line the walls, their doors hanging open. One corner holds a table and five chairs. The dishes and pots from the cupboards are gone, probably looted by the pirates. After that follows an empty, quiet storage room, a small chamber devoted to the storage of outerwear, including boots and rain gear of all sorts that appear searched through but untaken. Following that, next room around, is the bathroom. This chamber contains four pits that go through the floor into the ground. Herbs are normally used to sweeten the air, but they have not been replaced for the past six weeks. There are no sounds here except the buzzing of small insects somewhere, and the odor of faint mildew.

After the bathroom, the group finds themselves back in the entrance foyer, having gone all the way around the base floor of the lighthouse. They cautiously go through the central archway into the central staircase, and head up the spiraling stone steps. Aside from a rising din outside, the sounds of shouting and the faint clanging of steel, they don’t hear anything around them as of yet.

Carefully creeping into the first chamber on the next floor, the group finds themselves in a workroom. Tool racks are mounted on the walls of this room, and large tables occupy the center. Most of the tools are gone, and various tiny parts such as bent nails and tools litter the floor. The room smells faintly of sawdust. Proceeding counterclockwise into the next room, this chamber contains an adult-sized bed and an empty wardrobe, plus bookshelves whose contents now lie scattered on the floor. The next room around appears to be a sitting room. A comfortable-looking sofa and two upholstered chairs make this room seem cozy and inviting. In front of the sofa is a small table, and bookshelves line the wall. Most of the books now lie heaped on the floor. Beside one of the chairs is a small bag with knitting needles protruding from it. The group stalks through the sitting room into the next one, calling out for Alterith as they keep their weapons at the ready. A double bed dominates this room. Beside it stand an open, empty wardrobe and a night table with a lamp. Clothes are strewn everywhere. The smell of death hangs heavy in here. As the group scans the room, they notice a young middle-aged woman's body lies crumpled and bloody in the corner by the bed. One remorseful look at the terrible scene somehow tell the group that their compatriot has already been here and moved on.

With one more room before they appear back into the main workroom on this floor, they pause, muscles clenching for a moment. It is inconceivable that Alterith meet his end here – that is not in question. However, they cannot shake the feeling that they could still be there, lurking in the shadows, especially after calling out for Alterith. Straining their ears but hearing nothing, they peer around the doorway, into another bedroom, probably for guests of the Kojar family, as evidenced by its simpler furnishings – just a bed and an empty wardrobe.

Still no contact. Alterith – and whatever scoundrels must be farther up the stairs. They go back into the workroom and back into the center stairwell. Up they go, Squin navigating himself with difficulty but as quickly and smoothly as he can.

The room they enter into on the next floor is a larger, empty room. Nothing but broken crates clutter parts of the floor. Counterclockwise into the next room, the group is almost overpowered by the stench. Its source is easy to see—a child’s corpse lies rotting amid scattered toys on the floor. A small bed stands against one wall, and beside it is an open wardrobe, its contents scattered about the floor. A window on the outer wall lets in the sunlight. The group shudders, some of them flushing with just rage. They can almost feel Alterith’s anger hanging about in the air when the halfling was here earlier.

The next room over is filled with furniture sized for both adults and children. Boxes of toys and books line the walls, and hobby horses and toy carts stand here and there. It was probably a play room for the children. A similar putrid stench like that of rotting bodies assails the nostrils in the next room. On one side of the room stand an open, empty wardrobe and an adult-sized bed with books lying open atop it. More books fill the
shelves along the walls, and a telescope stands beside the window. Clothes litter the floor. Investigating, the group reveals Mirval Jr.’s body lying decaying in a corner of the room, covered by the discarded clothes.

Back to the lighthouse stairway, the group looks up at the ceiling, and the top of the lighthouse just above it. He must be there. They rush to the top, breaking back into the sunlight, momentarily dazed. Recovering, they find themselves standing on a stone floor covered in the broken shards of a glass housing. The center light has been smashed, along with several mirrors and smaller lamps surrounding it. They are in a small glass-walled 10-ft diameter chamber, with a 5-ft walkway circling it just outside. On the other side of the smashed central light is Alterith, peering over the stone edge, back to them.

As Alterith turns to his companions, they all notice a familiar gleam in his eye. This is not their more mild natured friend, but the demon that haunts him in battle. Blood soaks the side of his leather jerkin from a shallow wound on his side that looks like it could have been caused by an arrow or some similar weapon. He doesn't seem concerned with it, and the blood has already clotted and his jerkin is now black, the red having faded as the blood dried. Other, redder blood lies in a long arc across the edge of the wall in front of him, and it drips heavily from the blade of his axe. As he steps away from the wall towards his companions and the stairs behind them, they notice the lower half of a body still leaning against the edge of the wall, the upper half is nowhere in sight, though a heavy smear of blood across the lip of the wall may give an idea of its fate. Alterith doesn't seem to be injured beyond the drying wound in his side. Obviously this most recent battle was a quick one, and heavily in Alterith's favor. The grin on his face is almost spooky given their environs. As he passes his companions a few words escape him, though the companions wonder if the growl is really language at all.

"They will die, every last one will meet his fate for what they did to the child."

He doesn't wait for a response, nor does he put up his axe, but carries it at battle readiness as he heads down the stairs.

Krytox allows himself but a moment to shed a single tear for the fallen. The droplet slides down his scales quickly, following a path set forth by destiny alone. Images tear through his mind as his imagination jumps from one theory of the child's fate to the next. There had been a short period as they climbed the spiraling stairs that the Underlost had thought possibly Alterith, or Bloodlust more likely, had been the cause of the tragedies that had befallen the lighthouse dwellers. As the tear reaches his jaw, it hangs for a moment, giving off a small glimmer of radiant light as the sun's rays caught its profile. Gravity finally wins the battle against the saline drop, and it falls impacting the floor with an inaudible splash.

He says not a word, but falls in line behind the smaller warrior. It might have been a comical, though slightly intimidating sight. Here, one with a monstrous physical presence, following behind one of a diminutive stature. Though, Krytox knew what Alterith was capable of, and for that it made him tremble somewhere deep within himself. He looks to the others as he heads back down the stairs, giving a hard, but questioning look. "We avenge. They will pay for preying on the weak."

A small corner of Alterith's brain notices that others are following him to his doom, but that choice is theirs to make. Death isn't something he fears, but the look on his face should give those he challenges pause. When he reaches the bottom of the stairs he notices the damaged wood and debris on the floor from his makeshift doorjamb. He shifts through the wood on the floor and withdraws his dagger from the debris and drops it back in its empty sheath. He quickly moves aside what remains of the obstacle and yanks the door open. He leaves the building and breaks into a charge towards the adjoining "lighthouse" and the carnage that is ensuing there. Which alter-ego is in control at this point is anyone's guess.

Half stumbling his way up the stairway he is relieved to see Alterith. Mouth open he is about to say something when he notices the determination and resolve on the halfling's face. Squin scrambles out of the way of the halfling and watches as the big lizardman follows the halfling back down the stairs. Sighing he lets the others go back down first. Squin quickly loses ground as he navigates the stairs with some difficulty.

Own his way down he ponders Alterith's actions and hopes that what is fueling the halfling's anger were the seemingly merciless elimination of this family. Not sure if he is capable of a fight given his current condition, Squin wonders briefly if he'll survive longer trying to stop Alterith from going or from following Alterith on probable direct charge. Squin's next debate is if he can not participate in the upcoming fight, but fears his conscience may poison his soul if things didn't go well for his new group of friends. True that they haven't known each other for long, and despite their rough edges the group has proven to be made of good character ... well, most of them have. The jury is still out on at least one. Besides, this group saved him from the crocodiles earlier, when the centaur just had no chance in the crocodiles' surprise attack.

As Squin reaches a conclusion in his mind, he finally reaches the ground floor just in time to see Alterith storm out the door. Shrugging he looks at the others inquisitively to see if there was another plan of action. If the only plan is to follow Alterith, then the centaur will follow as well, hoping to trail behind a bit to avoid taking a hit but not too far enough to be unable to help with his bow.

As he races across the ground, the halfling reaches across his back pulling the axe free from his back and raises it above his head, emitting a snarl that escalates to a wolf's howl as he continues towards his adversaries. As blood is drawn he loses the small remaining control that he possessed. Bloodlust surges forward and the halfling's actions take on a mind of their own. Adrenaline surges into his system almost blinding him, but at the same time heightening all his senses. His muscles strain under his skin, veins almost popping as they raise across his chest and arms. His tightening muscles also offer him further protection from harm, and the adrenaline will carry him beyond the point of normal endurance, allowing him to take every increasing damage. The image is enough to send lesser beings in flight before him.

ooc: First blood drawn (friend or foe) is inciting a rage, so attack bonus is not included in first attacks

ooc: Sorry for the delay everyone. Life swept me up momentarily. Let's go... Initiative everybody!

Alterith charges across the open field, drawing arrow fire. Squin and Krytox follow behind, the centaur somewhat reluctantly given his seriously wounded state, and the underlost only faring slightly better. However, they will do what they must. The horrible scene in the lighthouse has infused them with a burning sense of justice.

Arrow shafts plummet into the ground around them. The group spots five on the makeshift wooden structure firing their bows down at them. More movement occurs to their left, beyond the grove of trees - the other lizardfolk! They engage a few pirate patrol groups on their way back, ambushing them in a loud roar of clashing steel and hissing fangs.

The battle is joined!

Krytox watches dumbly as Alterith breaks into a mad dash at the pirates, screaming like a man with nothing to lose. Krytox' own condition was far worse than the halfling's, but he would still do what he must. The pale face of the centaur stumbling down the lighthouse steps behind him cemented that fact in his head. Normally he could be a meat tank, drawing fire from the enemy to protect his allies. This time, having been massacred by the crocodilians, he would have to take a more stealth-like approach. For one of his size this would not be easy, but with the distraction of the lizardfolk attacking from the rear and Alterith making all the noise of a 100 man army, he might get his chance.

Krytox surveys the field momentarily, trying to create a plan of action, despite the fact that he knew such a thing would fall apart shortly after he engaged the enemy. His hand strays to his throwing axes, thinking of how he would be able to take out the pirates on the wooden lighthouse. It then occurred to him that there was still a container of oil just behind him in the main entryway to the real lighthouse. He pushes past the exiting centaur to grab it. The Underlost rips a bit of fabric and inserts it into the container and grabs a torch from the wall. It would be suicide in his condition to try to scale the enemy's tower, so why not try to burn it to the ground and even the playing field?

He rumbles back out of the lighthouse, following the path Alterith has just cut across the field, hoping and praying that his plan will work. "Dakkon give me strength."

Init: 11 + 3 = 14
Attack (when in reasonable range): 18 + 5 - (penalties) = 23 - (penalties)
Damage: Unknown

OOC: I'm trying to light and throw the oil towards the top of the tower (like a molotov cocktail). I'm not sure of range penalties on an action like this, but I'm guessing around 40 ft would be 2-3 ranges? So minus 6ish? Furthermore, I have no idea on damage (if any). If this is not an option at all, please let me know and I'll amend the post accordingly.

Seeing a lack of response, Squin starts to exit the door. As he exits the door the large lizardman squeezes by. Scraping by and trying to get out of the way, Squin rolls his eyes thinking about two large creatures trying to go through the door at the same time. I wonder what's gotten into him. Moments later his question is answered as Krytox appears with some funny looking contraption that was obviously just thrown together. As he studies its various components, and the torch the big lizardman is holding, it dawns on him. Taking a second to judge Krytox's path or most likely path, Squin trots out in an arc away from it.

Slowing down as he reaches the edge of his range, Squin trys to discern which of the pirates would have the most direct view of Krytox. Readying his bow, he watches the pirates praying that none would see the big lizardman.

OOC: Squin attempts to move out of the same line of sight as the lizardman. He watches the pirates carefully and if any them looks like that they have or are about to spot the lizardman, Squin will fire his arrows at him/her. Primary goal is to distract them or back off away from the side the lizardman is approaching. Bonus would be to actually hit the pirates. If this act attracts their attention and Squin is within their range, he'll back off slightly to try and find the balance between keeping them occupied and staying out of their range. FYI: Squin is pulling out the masterwork shortbow.

Mystia's feet touch the sand on the beach, and she realizes that she now has to stand upright. What an awkward feeling, being vertical. The sea's warmth had welcomed her on her short but sweet journey to the peninsula, but now that the sun was going down, and her clothes and hair were soaking wet, she had to face the cold reality of life on land. She forces the equipment in her hands onto the beach, and crawls out of the water. Seemingly out of energy, she only manages to sit up with quite some effort. As she looks around her, wondering what to do with her equipment, and longingly looking at the water again, a loud crack of wood, as if a door was being broken down, reaches her ears, and she snaps back to Miderth.

The first thing she does is put her choker back on, and thereby conveniently concealing the last traces of her heritage that were still visible on her body. She then squeezes the water out of her hair, and shakes it out, leaving it semi-dry. She wipes the sand off her hands, onto her now ruined dress. A sigh escapes her lips, as she contemplates ripping the skirt to improve her mobility. She decides that the equivalent of wearing a revealing miniskirt into battle is eons better than tripping herself up on her longer skirt, and carefully rips the fabric with the help of her trident, revealing more of her pale, clammy skin. The rest of her wardrobe would hopefully be dry by morning.

Speaking of battle... Mystia stands up, and instantly appreciates the extra mobility. Smiling slightly, she begins re-equipping herself. Her trident goes on first, then the crossbow at her side. She straps the quiver on her back, as well as the javelins. She's starting to feel the weight of all her tools, but shrugs it off and finishes by strapping on her buckler. Finally fully equipped, but still sopping wet, she turns her attention to the two structures before her. The smoke that she saw from the water was still visible, and she decides to go up and get a better look.

She shivers slightly as her wet clothes stick tightly to her body. Sand was definitely harder to walk on than harder types of ground, her footprints being a testament to her clumsiness on land. Now that she was close enough to get a good look, she realizes the smoke was from a burning wooden structure. There was an awful lot of commotion around that area, and was probably the reason why the guards left the beach, allowing her to land. Around the perimeter, several lizardfolk from before were mounting an attack. Immediately, she thought about asking them if they knew anything about her adventuring companions. Thinking further, though, she knew that there was an inherent danger because she did look human, and more importantly, had not received the mark of friendship that the others received earlier. Arriving from the general direction of the shore, and the pirates' reinforcements, was probably also not going to go in her favor. Since everyone's attention seemed to be on the wooden structure, Mystia decides to try her luck with the lighthouse, and begins her long trek, carrying the extra weight of her wet clothing, and naturally moving slower than normal.

As she picks her way across the expanse, she suddenly hears a familiar battle cry. She looks in the general direction, and spots a familiar small shape running full-tilt towards the structure. Looking back at whence he came, she sees another familiar figure, also running full-tilt, albeit the largest of their group. She smiles, finding her companions still intact after that crocodile encounter. At least, She then stands up triumphantly, and begins running herself, but towards the lighthouse instead of the lit-house, still weary of her lack of the lizardfolk's mark of friendship. She gets closer and sees Squin drawing his shortbow, but no sign of the others she was following earlier. Worried that something might have happened to them, she keeps on running past Squin after flashing a smile at his bewildered face.

ooc: It's been a while, guys.

If any of this conflicts with the DM post, I'll edit it. I have a sneaking suspicion I've acted way too fast, but if that's the case, then I can just withhold my actions until the appropriate time.

Slowing his gait, Squin's bewilderment melts into a grin as he says "about time you showed up ... couldn't find the right outift to get into?" One look as his face though, shows that he is extremely glad to have his friend here. The sounds of battle draws his attention back to the on-going battle. Glancing quickly, he is glad to see that the big lizardman still up and running. Squin goes back to his preparations of avoiding getting hit and helping Krytox avoid detection as long as possible.

With a mighty toss, Krytox hurls his present toward the base of the tower with a strength not possible for an average member of his species, much less any normal human. The projectile strikes the wooden base, and hungry flames quickly begin darting up the large structure, much to the dismay of the pirates. As they turn around to assess the new arrival of the adventuring group to attack them, some of them are cut down by the lizardfolk behind them.

Squin takes aim as an arrow flies by, grazing his cheek and leaving a fine line of red dripping down to the corner of his mouth. Ignoring the stinging pain and blinking away the blurriness, the centaur steadies his hold, and lets loose. He is rewarded with a gurgled cry as one of the pirates on the ground crumples over, as Krytox's powerful strides carry the underlost past the body. Alterith continues his charge, slightly ahead of the underlost, and Mystia, acknowledging the centaur with a warm smile as she passes by, heads away from the battle towards the lighthouse.

A small group of pirates finish tuning their crossbows, and take aim at the oncoming group. The fear in their eyes is mixed with intense excitement.

ooc: One more full-round action of movement will get you to the enemy crossbowmen. After that, it's just a partial move action before you get to the base of the burning structure.

Alterith continues to charge towards the structure, heedless of the oncoming projectiles. Nothing short of death will slow him down. The bloodlust continues to surge forward, but he has not seen blood spilled by his friends or from his friends and so he is still able to maintain a semblance of control. At this point, though, there is little difference between his desires and those of his more chaotic alter-ego. The axe reflects a reddish glow across his body from the surging flames giving him a very demonic appearance as if he originated a couple shells below his actual birthplace. The smile on his face is completely out of place given the gleam in his eye, but it makes him look even more demonic. Those watching him approach wouldn't be surprised to see his axe burst into flames as a corona surrounded his body and large black wings erupted from his back. Unfortunately the only thing erupting is his axe, as he finishes closing the distance and begins his attack movement.
