Babylon A.D.

Went and saw this this past weekend and still not sure how I feel about it. It's got a lot of good stuff going for it and was better than I expected. The action was well done, the storyline had a lot of thought put into it and really drew me in. Then...nothing. It all falls apart in the end. They don't tie up any loose ends, they completely failed to justify anything that had happened previously in the movie or explain why it happened. It would have been better as a 2 hour season premier to a regular show than as a stand alone movie. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars.

yeah, i've seen previews and immediately decided this is a rental at best. while the action looks decent, i just had a feeling it would disappoint in the end.

Yeah, I'd see it on dvd if you are going to. Big screen is usually my preference for big action movies, but this one was just too disappointing to waste the money on, unless you can get in for 3 or 4 bucks. It would be a worthwhile movie if they are going to do a series following it or even if they are going to make a sequel, but as a standalone it was really weak.
