| I enjoyed this movie greatly. Then it totally changed into another movie. And I didn't like it as much. But that's okay. Will Smith drew a lot of laughs from me in this one. It was fun seeing the "grumpy old cynical bitter etc." superhero that is vilified by the townspeople and his own behavior. Interesting stuff. But I was turned off the moment the new plot development came.
It was like they took the front half of a dog and stuck it onto the back half of a cat. That only works in games like D&D. In the movie world, I don't think it works all that well. And my opinion is that for Hancock, it was a big fault.

| Hmmm... I think you won't miss out on anything if you wait for the DVD release. In my opinion it's not big enough to make it a must see on the big screen. | |

| i finally saw this at the second run theatre that is 2 min from my apt (yay for $2 movies!). i actually really enjoyed it. while i agree that it may not be 'action-packed' enough to warrant the $8+ for the big screen, it is still worth seeing. there was pretty much just the right amount of character development to where you really felt for each of them. in fact, i thought the movie flowed very well. i've heard a lot of complaints about how it seemed like two different movies, but i didn't really notice this at all. the only complaint i had was the half-assed attempt at a villain. maybe there were scenes that got cut that would've made that aspect better... but as it is, the villain plot-line was pretty weak.
overall my rating: 8/10
