As Robert quickly checks his clip, realizing that he only has a single bullet left in the chamber, he reaches a decision. He has many times before thought that victory was the goal of every game, now he realizes that life is nothing but one big game, and winning is what it's all about. He decides to take a chance, raising his gun as if to fire at the monster before him, while keeping an eye on the man to his left, he actually drops his gun, spinning towards the man, his reflexes heightened by the blood coursing through his veins, he sweeps both arms towards the man, expecting him to raise the gun defensively, Robert steps forward sliding the gun through his armpit, leaving it pointed at the creature behind him, both hands hit on the trigger, attempting to fire the gun backwards. If nothing else comes of this, the god's will admit he went out with style.

Anthony tries to fight off the instinct to take off running again, but the thought of death overpowers the flight response. Tucking his arm tenderly against his body, he slides up the side of the building and begins walking as if in a dream. The blank stare and suddenly sagging eyes give insight into his broken spirit.

"Follow me," he mumbles, "I think I c'n get back there..."

As he passes the abandoned duffel, he mindlessly scoops it up with his good arm and continues on his way back towards the warehouse.

Noticing that all the enemies have mysteriously fallen asleep, Robert picks up his gun, slides by the strange creature between him and the exit and leaves the church. Walking down the street he reflects on this odd feeling that a large period of time has passed in the blink of his eye. Odd how the world works sometimes.

He returns to the underground lair and his super-computer network and begins homing in on the other people he is supposed to be monitoring.
