I thought this movie was amazing. It's like, straight out of a cthulhu or world of darkness story. Really really [!] creepy, but if you have the balls to see it, I suggest it. I haven't found a scary movie that i've enjoyed as much as this one in a long long time.

Another movie I have seen recently. It just opened at the Chicago Film Festival a few weeks ago. The movie is directed by John Woo and he was there for the premier and took questions from the audience after. It was pretty awesome. Expensive ($25 per ticket... ugh!) but awesome. has anyone seen this? It is friggin hilarious. Easily comparable to Shaun of the Dead, but I thought it was funnier. The acting is stupendous and the story is... to un-die for? hahaha, i crack myself up. but seriously if you're a fan of zombie movies and comedies you should see this. I don't want to give too much of the story/gags away but it is well worth the price of admission.

Go see this movie. It's as simple as that. I think this has been the best movie of the summer. Good story? check. Good acting? check. Good action? check. Good effects? check. Basically it is filled with lesser to unknown actors (you might recognize a few of the people, but probably won't know from where) that do an admirable job. The roles are played brilliantly and maybe more importantly - believably. Much of the movie is shot documentary style (think Cloverfield with 50% less shaky-cam) ...

Some of my friends were excited for this movie when the previews first came out before we were bombarded by the fantastic Star Trek movie, but I personally had been less than impressed.
